Job Description
We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Technical Manager for Land/Street/Road to join our team. As Technical Manager, you will play a central role in the planning, design, and implementation of land, street, and road projects. You will lead the technical team and ensure that our projects meet the highest technical standards while being delivered in accordance with the client’s requirements and expectations. Projects range from smaller local assignments to more complex projects spanning several years. You will be responsible for the technical department’s budget, schedule, and quality.
You have strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Novapoint and are well-versed in AMA.
As part of our team, you will actively participate in the planning and design of land, street, road, and other infrastructure facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects comply with all relevant technical standards and regulations, which is crucial for delivering high-quality solutions.
You will also collaborate closely with other disciplines and stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the projects’ needs. Your role includes monitoring and evaluating technical performance throughout the projects to ensure that everything proceeds according to plan and that quality is maintained.
In addition, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and partners, which is essential for driving projects forward. Your drive and commitment within AFRY’s network for land, street, and road projects will be an important part of your role and contribute to both your success and that of the team.
You will be based at one of our offices in Luleå or Piteå.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone witha high school, college, or master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on civil engineering, or equivalent, as well as at least 3 years of experience in design and technical management for land, street, and road projects. You have documented experience leading and developing technical teams. You have a strong understanding of finance and business practices, as well as experience managing budgets and resources with sound financial acumen.
Furthermore, you have relevant knowledge of legislation, standards, and technical guidelines governing work in these areas to ensure that projects comply with applicable regulations and maintain the highest possible quality.
Language skills are also important, and you need to be proficient in both Swedish and English to communicate effectively with both domestic and international partners
Previous experience working with sourcing is a plus. We also value experience working with sustainability issues, as this is a key component of the work required for long-term success.
As a person, you are adept at fostering engagement and collaboration within a team and are skilled at steering the work toward set goals. You have strong communication skills and can clearly convey information to various stakeholders. Your ability to collaborate with other disciplines and external partners ensures that projects are carried out smoothly and efficiently, resulting in integrated and sustainable solutions.
