Job Description
We at Civil Engineering Water North are now seeking a senior engineer in water and wastewater processes who wants to work on projects in water and wastewater treatment at the local and regional levels, as well as collaborate nationally and internationally with other consultants at AFRY.
The role involves conducting feasibility studies, developing processes for water treatment and sludge management, process optimization, preparing conceptual proposals and request for proposal (RFP) documents, and working on project design at various stages. Each project is unique and requires a unique team tailored to the assignment.
You will work on projects throughout the country, and travel is required; however, you will be based at one of our local offices as your primary workplace.

In terms of education, we expect you to hold a degree in civil engineering, engineering, or natural sciences with a focus on water and wastewater treatment technology, mechanical or chemical engineering as part of your degree, or another degree deemed equivalent; alternatively, you have acquired equivalent skills through industry experience. You have at least eight years of experience in municipal water and/or wastewater treatment technology. Consulting experience is considered a plus.
Since AFRY is an international company, we require that you are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, to meet our clients’ needs.
