Job Description

AFRY is one of the leading players in Scandinavia and works closely with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology sectors. We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to help shape the future of life science solutions.

We are a dedicated team that helps our clients develop the life science products and processes of the future. We primarily work on projects related to pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical engineering facilities, media systems, and equipment. As a Technical Project Manager at AFRY Life Science, you will be responsible for projects in various phases—such as feasibility studies, design, and implementation—and will occasionally also have budget responsibility. The projects vary in size and technical nature; for example, you will lead projects involving the construction of new production facilities, the relocation of production operations, and the optimization of existing processes and equipment. The projects also involve coordinating and managing specifications, procuring components and equipment, automation, commissioning, and testing and validation. The work is performed at the client’s site and/or at one of AFRY’s offices.

Qualifications

We believe that, as a project manager with strong leadership skills, you will engage and inspire your colleagues with clear goals, while also contribute to a positive work environment. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and believe you are a person with strong initiative and the ability to collaborate. With your excellent communication skills and enthusiasm, you will help the team achieve great results. It also comes naturally to you to work in a structured and quality-conscious manner. Furthermore, it’s in your nature to be sociable and flexible, and you have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new projects and customer needs.

We also believe you possess the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the life sciences sector, as well as experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.
  • An engineering degree or a university degree in the natural sciences.
  • Ability to express yourself fluently in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Any project management certification is a plus.
  • Class B driver’s license

To thrive in this role, you need to be driven, self-motivated, and a natural communicator.  You are organized, analytical, and able to consider the big picture without losing focus on the deliverables. You appreciate variety in your tasks, and adapting to change comes naturally to you.

Last but not least, you value teamwork highly—just like we do!
