Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer who wants to work closely with some of the world’s most skilled engineers and contribute to socially significant and high-tech projects?

We are currently strengthening our team in Stockholm and are looking for more colleagues who want to help develop solutions for both innovative companies and organizations that support society.

At AFRY, we work on external projects where we develop and improve products for both national and international clients across a variety of industries. As a Test Automation Engineer, you’ll play a central role in increasing the client’s level of automation by developing and implementing effective test solutions and test cases.

Work takes place both at the client’s site and at our office in Solna, typically 3–5 days a week depending on the assignment. Since some of our assignments involve security-classified operations, Swedish citizenship, a cleared security screening, and a background check may be required.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. You are eager to take on responsibility and drive your work forward, while contributing your problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. You have experience managing and reporting test results in a structured and clear manner, and you feel comfortable participating in technical discussions within cross-functional teams.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have the following background and experience:

• At least 5–10 years of experience in test automation, preferably in larger organizations.
• Relevant college degree or equivalent vocational training/professional experience.
• Experience in the public sector and/or the Swedish Armed Forces.
• Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, or similar
• Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Certification: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation
• Experience with agile development, for example using frameworks such as SAFe
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Swedish citizenship and the ability to undergo a security clearance

Desirable

• Experience with hardware testing and creating test strategies.
• Experience developing test automation frameworks.
• Experience using AI in testing.
• Experience testing non-functional requirements, such as robustness, security, and performance.
