Job description

Advanced Automation is a large organization within AFRY, with over 600 dedicated employees in Sweden, we help our customers with advanced technical solutions while we are on the way into a transition in industry towards a greener future and more digitized world. We therefore see a great need to engage more competent employees and are now looking for you who want to write your thesis with us.

The idea of the thesis is to develop and improve the AFRY Cyber Security Advisory System. The system has the ability to inform users of known security vulnerabilities. The system uses CSAF provided by manufacturers to determine which components at a site have potentially been exposed to such vulnerabilities. The system retrieves CSAF from publicly available APIs, processes the information and finally stores the necessary data in the database.

You will be asked to review functions such as:

  • User management
  • Security message collection
  • Report generation
  • Administrative management

We would like this thesis to be completed by two students. Support will be provided by AFRY.

Timetable
Start in February and completion during spring 2026. The thesis is carried out at AFRY's office in Malmö.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who plan to complete your thesis during the spring of 2026 and who are studying for a civil or university engineer in automation or systems development, Bachelor or Master.

You are in the final stage of your education and are interested in industrial automation & IT. You have a good understanding and interest in "capturing" needs and facts and can program a solution using high-level language coding. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English. We would like to see that you have the opportunity to come to the office in Malmö a few days a week for meetings on site with your supervisor.
