Job Description

Topic: AI in Integrated Logistics Support

As part of a thesis project, you’ll have the opportunity to investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to streamline and support the creation, compilation, and further development of information products within Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

The project involves an analysis of how AI can be applied based on existing information sources such as databases, manuals, standards, templates, and related documentation, such as maintenance manuals and maintenance tables. The goal is to identify opportunities, strategies, and potential challenges related to AI support in the documentation development process.

This project offers a high degree of autonomy, and the thesis student is expected to contribute their own ideas, conduct relevant analyses, and explore innovative solutions. The results are expected to generate valuable insights and provide inspiration for future approaches in this field.

This is a thesis project that can be carried out in collaboration with an AFRY client.

The client is a technology- and knowledge-intensive company that works with the development, documentation, and support of complex products and systems. The business has a strong focus on quality, structure, and efficient information management, and sees great opportunities in leveraging new technology to develop the work methods of the future

  • Good understanding of technical documentation or a willingness to learn about the field
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience with AI tools, language models, or data-driven methods is a plus
  • Knowledge of ILS, technical documentation, or maintenance-related processes is a plus

  • Independent and proactive.

  • Organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Creative and interested in exploring new ways of working and technical possibilities.

You will have a supervisor at AFRY.

This thesis project can be carried out individually or as a collaboration between two students, with an appropriate division of responsibilities determined in consultation based on academic focus and interests.

If you have your own idea for a thesis project, we’d be happy to discuss it and see if it aligns with our business and identified future needs.

Timeline

Start date to be agreed upon, but tentatively mid-January 2027, with the project to be completed during the spring (equivalent to 30 credits). The thesis project will be carried out primarily at our headquarters in Solna, with some opportunity to work remotely.
