Job Description

Demand for protein-rich dairy products continues to rise. At the same time, the dairy industry is facing a major transformation in which sustainability, resource efficiency, and circular production solutions are becoming increasingly important.

At AFRY Food, we work alongside the food industry to develop the dairy production of the future. We help our clients create more value from their raw materials, optimize energy and water usage, and develop facilities that meet tomorrow’s demands for both profitability and sustainability.

We are now looking for Process Engineers and Project Managers with experience in the dairy industry who want to help drive this development.

Your role with us We are now looking for new colleagues to fill various roles in our team. Depending on your background, experience, and expertise, we are looking for individuals who can take on responsibility in one or more of the following areas:

• Process development and process optimization
• Investments and capacity expansions
• New construction and renovation of processing facilities
• Project management from feasibility studies to implementation
• Hygienic design and CIP systems
• Membrane and separation processes
• Energy and water optimization
• Production of milk, cheese, yogurt, quark, and protein products
• Development of circular solutions and resource-efficient production

An industry in transition

Consumer demand for protein-rich products such as quark, skyr, cottage cheese, and whey protein is creating new opportunities for the dairy industry.

To meet this demand in a sustainable way, new solutions are needed that make smarter use of byproducts and side streams. This involves converting residual streams into valuable ingredients, reducing losses, reusing water, and optimizing energy utilization.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in the dairy industry
• Works or has worked as a process engineer, project manager, production engineer, process specialist, or similar role
• Have a solid understanding of dairy processes and hygienic production environments
• Thrive in technical projects and development work
• Want to contribute to more sustainable and innovative food production
