Are you the one? The Individual and Family Care Unit is tasked with investigating, supporting and helping vulnerable people in the municipality and consists of financial assistance, family law, family homes, adults and children and young people. The unit consists of 13 caseworkers, a 1st social secretary and unit manager.

Work tasks
As an adult caseworker, you are responsible for investigations under the Social Services Act and the Act on the Care of Addicts in Certain Cases. The target group is people with abuse/dependence on alcohol, drugs or gambling, but also people in need of financial support. You will thus divide your working time between handling cases in substance abuse care and financial assistance.
You will be responsible for assessment, planning and follow-up. The work involves contact with individuals in the form of visits, home visits, telephone calls and collaboration with inpatient care, as well as documentation work and contact with other authorities. The work requires you to be able to work independently and find individual solutions. The work is flexible based on given conditions and there is room for ideas and innovation within the framework of the exercise of authority.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a social work/social care program or other relevant higher education degree that the employer deems appropriate, for example in behavioral science or law.
You have good communication skills and are confident, calm and stable in your professional role. This is a prerequisite for making quick decisions and acting in situations despite limited information or difficult circumstances. You maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things. You must have good reflective and analytical skills and be able to justify and make informed decisions. You are required to be meticulous in documentation and processing and to be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing.
Experience of administration and assistance assessment in the field, as well as working in the Pulsen Combine business system is an advantage.
