We look forward to receiving your application! The Finance Department is part of the municipal administration and provides qualified financial support to all areas of the municipality. We are 7 employees in the finance department, which is centralized in the municipality. You have the opportunity for hybrid work where you can partly combine on-site and remote work.
Duties and responsibilities
As a controller, you are an important part of financial management at a strategic level in the municipality. The role means that you work together with the head of finance and others in the department to coordinate and develop processes that ensure good financial management for our operations. You create the conditions and opportunities for all activities to focus on their main tasks, develop and achieve set goals and a long-term balanced economy. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and be part of the Finance Department team.
Your work is both strategic and operational, with a key role in driving, developing the work forward. We offer you an independent and challenging role, where you will have the opportunity to work together with dedicated colleagues.
In your role as controller, you will work with business intelligence, budget, performance and target monitoring, financial statements and forecasts. This position is mainly aimed at the operational areas within Culture and Leisure and Community Building. You will act as a support to the activities and managers.
You will also work on other tasks common to a finance department.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a university degree in economics or equivalent qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience of advanced financial work, preferably in the public sector, and experience of project accounting would be an advantage.
You are knowledgeable in the field of finance and have a good understanding of financial accounting while understanding the needs of the business. You are development-oriented, happy to find new solutions and have good skills in digitization. As a person, you are positive and independent. You are flexible and not afraid to take action where needed. You are sociable and think it is important to contribute to a good atmosphere in the workplace. You strive for the development of routines and working methods and high quality in what you are responsible for. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
We offer a permanent full-time position with appointment by agreement.
