Work tasks We are now looking for an assistant principal who wants to help shape the best possible workplace for staff and students. Together with the principal and the school's management team, you will be responsible for and lead development processes within the school. You are interested in school development and have the student in focus for increased goal achievement. You see cooperation as a matter of course and have a willingness to find solutions together with students, guardians, teachers and colleagues. You will work to a large extent operationally and close to the daily activities. You will be an important part of the EHT and in ensuring that our students get the help they need to reach their goals. The combination of deputy principal and special needs teacher or special educator ensures that the compensatory mission is put in focus at Älvåkraskolan. To be eligible for this 3-year appointment as assistant principal, you are prepared to complete the principal program. Qualifications You have experience and qualifications to work as a special needs teacher or special education teacher. It is an advantage if you have completed principal training or recruitment training, and if you have knowledge of systematic quality work, student health work and safety work in primary school. Experience of working with adapted learning environments is also an advantage. Your leadership is based on building relationships with students, colleagues and guardians and on good communication. It is important that you have the ability to prioritize and structure your tasks and that you complete them within the specified time frames. You will be able to adapt quickly and deal with changes and changing conditions that arise in your work. You remain effective and motivated despite setbacks and act with a high level of integrity and loyalty in your leadership role. You have a good ability to document and follow up your work. You should have a special education approach with a clear focus on inclusion and a willingness to work in a principal team where students' study results, security, well-being and study peace are in focus. We expect you to be able to work independently and flexibly in your assignment, but it is important that you have a holistic approach and want to collaborate. The position is a permanent position of 100% as a special teacher / special educator with a three-year appointment as deputy principal 2025-08-14.
