The Municipality of Älvsbyn is seeking a dedicated Arabic mother-tongue teacher who wants to inspire and support our students in their linguistic and personal development.

Job Responsibilities

As a native Arabic language teacher, you will teach students in a mixed-age group. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on lessons based on the students’ needs and the goals outlined in the school’s policy documents. In this role, you will help strengthen students’ language development, self-esteem, and cultural identity.

You will collaborate with school staff as needed to create the best possible conditions for students’ learning and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has very good knowledge of both Arabic and Swedish.
• Has experience in teaching or other educational work with children and adolescents.
• Are responsible, flexible, and a good team player.
• Can adapt instruction to students’ different ages, needs, and prior knowledge.

A teaching certification or educational background is a plus.

Terms of Employment

• Part-time position.
• Scope: approximately 3 hours per week.
• Classes are held on-site in Älvsbyn.
• Remote teaching is not possible for this position.
