About the Workplace

 

We are seeking preschool teachers for our preschools in Korsträsk and Vistträsk. Both preschools offer small groups of children, a safe environment, and excellent opportunities to build close relationships with children and their guardians.

Although our preschools are small, we work closely together through a joint faculty with the preschools in Vidsel, Vistträsk, and Korsträsk. This provides excellent opportunities for collegial learning, sharing experiences, and collaborative development work, while also offering the closeness and security of a small preschool in everyday life.

Korsträsk Preschool—Close Relationships and Nature as a Learning Environment

 

Korsträsk Preschool is located about eight kilometers from Älvsbyn and consists of one class with approximately 16 children aged 1–6. This small setting creates a safe and family-like environment where children, parents, and staff get to know each other well.

The preschool is surrounded by forest and a lake, which provides excellent opportunities to incorporate nature into the curriculum and the children’s daily lives. We also have access to a gym several times a week. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the children and help shape the development of the program. Vistträsk Preschool—Community and Learning Through Play

 

Vistträsk Preschool is located about 2 mil from Älvsbyn and consists of one class with approximately 15 children aged 1–6; it shares facilities with a preschool class and an elementary school. This creates a natural collaboration between the programs and a smooth transition for the children when it’s time to start school.

Play and the children’s curiosity are at the heart of our teaching, and our work is characterized by an active focus on pedagogical development and documentation. Here, you’ll work in a small setting where every child is seen and valued, while also being part of a dedicated team alongside our other preschools. Job Responsibilities

 

As a preschool teacher, you’ll be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, following up on, and developing instruction in accordance with the preschool curriculum.

You create a safe, fun, and stimulating learning environment where children are given the opportunity to develop their curiosity, creativity, and desire to learn. Together with your colleagues, you will actively work to develop the program and ensure a high-quality education for all children.

You will build strong relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues, and contribute to a positive work environment where collaboration and professional growth are integral parts of daily life.

Qualifications

 

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed preschool teacher.
• Has a solid understanding of preschool guidelines and the mission of the preschool.
• Are committed, responsible, and have a professional approach.
• Have a strong ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• View collaboration as a natural part of the mission.
• Has an inclusive approach to work and takes the children’s diverse needs and circumstances into account.

Experience working in a preschool, as well as experience with educational documentation and systematic quality assurance, is a plus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

For those studying to become preschool teachers

 

We also welcome applications from those studying to become preschool teachers. For the right candidate, there is the possibility of part-time employment during your studies, with the goal of transitioning to a permanent position upon graduation.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon. A probationary period may apply for new hires.

An extract from the police’s record of suspected offenses and criminal convictions must be presented prior to employment. Hiring is contingent upon the necessary decisions being made.
