Your responsibilities will include teaching at the cultural school. We are looking for teachers who wish to work part-time at the Älvsbyn Culture School, up to 50%, but teachers who are able to teach a smaller percentage are also welcome to apply, as a lower percentage of full-time employment may be possible. Instruction takes place both individually and in groups. Concerts are held.

As a teacher at the cultural school, your role is to motivate and give each student the opportunity to develop successfully. You actively contribute to the school’s overall development and take responsibility for ensuring that students reach their full potential. You create your own schedule based on your availability to teach, the students’ schedules, and access to facilities.

Qualifications

You are a certified music teacher or have other music training, pedagogical training, or experience deemed to qualify you for the position. To be a teacher at the culture school, you must be able to read sheet music and teach this skill to students.

One of your primary instruments is singing, drums, or guitar.

Proficiency in a secondary instrument is a plus.

You have a pedagogical approach and adapt your teaching to the student’s level.

You collaborate easily with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.

You should have a positive outlook on life, but above all, you should be someone who feels joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity about this role and the challenges this work entails.

This is a permanent position with a maximum workload of 50%. Start date to be agreed upon. A lower percentage of full-time employment may be considered based on the applicant’s preferences and qualifications.

An extract from the police criminal records check is required.

Recruitment is contingent upon the necessary decisions being made. We may require a probationary period for new hires.
