Welcome to Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, which are two school units with about 45 and 14 students respectively in villages on the outskirts of Älvsbyn municipality. The schools offer fantastic learning environments, as well as their own sports halls, ski tracks, football fields, and fantastic nature.
Tasks
As a teacher in after-school care at Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing and following up the teaching of the after-school care's compensatory and complementary assignments. In teaching, you focus on language and knowledge-developing working methods, core values, joy of movement and the democracy mission, but also on creating learning environments that are challenging, stimulating and attract students to curiosity and learning.
At Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you get the opportunity to be involved in developing our after-school program. You are part of the leisure center's team that meets weekly to plan, follow up and develop quality work towards increased goal achievement.
During the school days, you interact with the preschool class and the primary school in close collaboration with teaching teachers. You are also part of a larger team in the village areas and have joint meetings with the school's teaching staff to jointly drive learning processes and create equality for children in sparsely populated areas.
At Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you will have good conditions for planning, implementing and following up your teaching.
Qualifications
We are looking for licensed teachers with a focus on leisure homes or licensed leisure educators who have a good insight into the leisure home's governing documents. You are positive, committed, flexible and clear in your leadership. As a teacher at Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you need to be responsible and be able to work both independently and in a team. It is important that you are able to establish good relationships with both students and guardians. Experience and knowledge of working with children with special needs is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
