Älvsbyns gymnasium has about 140 students divided into seven programs. The school is centrally located, which means that the sports hall, ice rink, swimming pool, ski tracks, football fields, athletics facility and nature are just around the corner, while it is close to the community center with the main library, meeting rooms, bowling alley and more.
Tasks
As a teacher, your main task is to be responsible for planning, implementing and reworking teaching. As a mathematics teacher, your role is to motivate and empower each student to succeed. You actively contribute to the development of the school as a whole and take responsibility for ensuring that students reach their full potential. Mentorship is included in the service.
Qualifications
You have a teacher's license with the right to teach mathematics at upper secondary level. It is an advantage if you have a license for Swedish and/or English. You are a clear leader who works actively for safety and study peace in a creative classroom where students are involved. You teach in an inspiring way and engage with students and their goals. You understand the importance of creating good relationships with young people and have a low-key approach that is permeated by trust in the students. You are prepared to reflect together with colleagues on your own and others' approach and treatment. A good understanding of the school's mission and knowledge of current regulations is a prerequisite. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
The position is a permanent position of 100% with access to 2026-08-11. We may apply probationary employment for new employment.
