Parkskolan houses the central town's middle school and is located in the middle of Älvsbyn, which means that the sports hall, ice rink, swimming pool, ski tracks, football fields, athletics facility and nature are just around the corner while it is close to the community center with the main library, meeting rooms, bowling alley, etc.
Tasks
As a teacher of textile crafts, you are responsible for planning, implementing and following up the teaching of the central town's pupils in grades 2-6. You work closely with the school's teachers in wood and metal crafts to create an inspiring and coherent crafts teaching.
At Parkskolan, you will have the opportunity to focus on the learning mission and work in a dynamic environment where collaboration is a fundamental part of the school's way of working - between teachers and students, between school and home and between the school's various competencies.
The assignment includes creating a safe, creative and stimulating learning environment, both socially and physically. You are also expected to contribute to the development of both your own teaching and the school's joint quality work.
Qualifications
You have a teacher's license with the right to teach textile crafts in the early years of primary school, grades 2-6. We are looking for teachers who are skilled leaders. It is important that you are able to lead your student group in a relational way while optimizing your students' development by both supporting and challenging your students in learning. You will adapt your teaching to the needs of the group and individual pupils. Experience and knowledge of working with children with special needs is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
The position is a permanent position of 100% with access to 2026-08-12. We may apply probationary employment for new recruitment.
