The unit implements initiatives in open forms on behalf of the municipality's social secretaries, but also offers a number of initiatives that do not require a needs assessment. With the new Social Services Act, Älvsbyn municipality is carrying out extensive change work at all levels of the organization. In the role of unit manager for outpatient care, you will be involved in the entire process and be an important part of making social services more accessible, equal and preventive, but above all be an important part of developing an activity that meets the needs of the municipality's residents. One of our most important goals for the transition is also to make social services a more sustainable, and more long-term, workplace for all our employees. Duties and responsibilities You will be responsible for the budget, staff and work environment. You are an operational leader who supports your staff in their operational work while playing an important role in the strategic work and looking at the big picture. You drive the work forward together with your staff and develop the work within the organization. As head of unit, you represent the organization both internally and externally. Qualifications You have proven management experience and a degree in social work or equivalent. You have qualified experience in the field of activity and competence in the applicable legislation. As a leader, you are communicative, responsive, structured and confident in your decision-making. You have a strong commitment to the field of activity and want to work with colleagues and staff to develop the business further. Furthermore, you have a high ability to collaborate and cooperate across operational and organizational boundaries. Knowledge of, and experience of, support and treatment work and the exercise of authority in the field of individual and family care is highly advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Relevant training and experience, as well as relevant references, are a requirement.
