We are a nature-oriented and attractive municipality with approximately 8,000 residents, where decision-making processes are streamlined and you work closely with your colleagues. We are now looking for a new, dedicated, and solution-oriented colleague for the Community Development Department.

About the Position

The primary focus of your work will be on land and development issues, but the role also includes other tasks relevant to community development, with the aim of creating the conditions for future housing, business, and community growth.

Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things:

• Project management and coordination of development projects.
• Land acquisition, land sales, and real estate law issues.
• Drafting and negotiating land allocation, development, and implementation agreements.
• Contributing to implementation specifications.
• Liaising with property owners, developers, contractors, and government agencies.
• Management of the municipality’s land reserve and strategic land issues.
• Financial monitoring of development projects.
• Preparation of matters for the committee and municipal leadership.

Depending on your background and experience, the position may also include responsibilities in areas such as:

• Real estate development.
• Strategic planning of infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strategic urban planning.
• Other matters within the scope of the Community Development Administration.
• Certain GIS and mapping issues

We are looking for someone who

Have a relevant college or university degree in, for example, surveying, urban planning, civil engineering, or another field that the employer deems equivalent. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

A Class B driver’s license is required for this position

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

• Land and development issues.
• Real estate law and surveying issues.
• Municipal operations and public administration.
• Project management.
• The planning and construction process.
