About the Position

Would you like to be part of a global organization with strong values and a mission that benefits society? Then this could be the right opportunity for you! We are now looking for an HSE Specialist (Health, Safety & Environment) for our production facility in Alvik, Luleå.

In the role of HSE Specialist, you’ll work both operationally and strategically to develop, implement, and follow up on activities related to occupational health, safety, and the environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the business and helping to ensure a safe, sustainable, and secure workplace—as well as ensuring we comfortably meet all environmental and workplace safety compliance requirements.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

• Planning, coordinating, and following up on activities and initiatives in the HSE area
• Conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, risk analyses, and investigations in accordance with applicable procedures and legal requirements
• Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, Baxter standards, and internal and external audits, such as those under ISO 14001
• Participate in and drive improvement efforts and preventive safety initiatives
• Support and train managers and employees on HSE issues and contribute to developing the safety culture
• Ensure proper documentation and follow-up in management systems and other HSE-related systems
• Stay up to date on new legal requirements, standards, and trends in the HSE field

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education in occupational health and safety, the environment, safety, or a related field, as well as documented experience in HSE work and relevant standards. You have at least three years of experience working independently in HSE, preferably in the manufacturing industry or a similar field. Experience from international or global organizations is a plus.

As a person, you are organized, driven, and solution-oriented. You have strong analytical skills and enjoy collaborating and fostering engagement within the organization. You work independently, take initiative, and communicate easily with various functions and levels within the organization.

You have excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite as well as excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
