At our manufacturing facility in Alvik, Luleå, we produce patient lifts, slings, and other accessories. Our products are used to lift and move people in nursing homes, special education schools, hospitals, and homes around the world. We won the Swedish Lean Award in 2021, so our Lean initiatives and continuous improvement are a natural part of our operations, where you’ll play a key role.

About the Position

We’re currently looking for a sling production operator for our facility in Luleå. The harness production department is responsible for manufacturing various harnesses and accessories. In harness production, different work orders are manufactured as single units and in batches.

Your main responsibilities:

• Produce (sew harnesses and accessories), inspect, and package our products

• Perform daily and weekly maintenance

• Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures

• Work in other departments as needed

• Be an active participant in improvement and change initiatives

• Promote a safe workplace

• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with applicable quality requirements

• Work in accordance with Baxter’s values and goals

• Serve as a mentor to new employees as needed

At our production facility in Alvik, outside Luleå, we offer a clean and modern work environment with ergonomically designed workstations. You’ll be part of a friendly team of 17 employees of various ages. We offer lunch at a discounted price at our nearby restaurant, and we have a staff gym as well as a wellness allowance.

Your Profile

As a harness production operator, your primary responsibility is to manufacture (sew harnesses and accessories), inspect, and package our products. We’re looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and open to change. To succeed in this role, you should be a strong team player who can also work independently. Experience in sewing or working in a production setting is a plus but not required. Proficiency in Swedish is required. Other qualities we value include attention to detail, a structured approach, and strong collaboration skills.

You must be at least 18 years old.

Employment Type

Permanent position, beginning with a 6-month fixed-term contract. It is advantageous to have a driver’s license and your own car to be able to travel to Alvik, as bus service is limited.

Full-time; working hours are during the day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
