We have overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education and employment issues that affect our municipality's residents. We are also responsible for the Cultural School and the food supply and fulfill tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool class, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school and adapted upper secondary school. From 1/1-2026, we bring together adapted primary and secondary school under one and the same principal. This creates a common thread for both students and employees in the business, provides a better opportunity to adjust the internal organization to the needs of the students, provides opportunities for targeted skills development efforts and a greater opportunity to be able to use employees' skills through all grades. Our activities are located at 4 different workplaces; Prästholmsskolan with students in grades 1-6 including leisure activities, Stureskolan with students in grades 7-9, Pusslet located in Gammelängsskolan, aimed at students in grades 1-9 including leisure activities and Adapted Upper Secondary School which is located at Björknäsgymnasiet. In the Adapted School, about 55 employees currently work and we therefore see the need to strengthen the management organization with a deputy principal. WORK TASKS As an assistant principal, you are an important part of the school's management. You work closely with the principal and together you lead the educational development work, with a focus on quality, safety and learning. Together with the school's principal, you will be responsible for and conduct school development for improved school results and positive social development among students. You will, among other things, be responsible for producing documentation for the systematic quality work. We analyze and take action together. On delegation, you will have staff responsibility. The work is done in close collaboration and close dialog with the principal. As Assistant Principal for the Adapted School, you will have a particular responsibility for: - Strengthen the pedagogical leadership in everyday life - Coordinate student health work - Contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments - Support staff in their daily work We are looking for you who are passionate about working to build functioning groups, working with democratic processes and caring for students in need of special support. You value the different competencies of student health and are passionate about giving all students opportunities to develop and learn. The tasks of an assistant principal are many, challenging, stimulating, varied and important. You have the chance to influence and develop the future of the rising generation. Boden municipality provides good conditions for success in the role of school leader. You will work in a team with the principal, where you will run and develop the school together. There is access to operational support at the School Development Center, which organizes local and central student health, digitization and a central reception unit for newly arrived students. At central level, there is support from HR, finance, IT and the office. As an assistant principal, you will be a good ambassador for the school, the Labor Market and Education Administration and for Boden Municipality. To be relevant for the position of deputy principal, you are prepared to start the principal program and to fully assume a future principal's assignment. The position is a 3-year managerial appointment with permanent employment as an employee/teacher. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a teaching degree with a few years of experience in the teaching profession. Previous experience of working in an adapted school and previous experience of working as a manager/leader is an advantage. You see collaboration as a prerequisite for success and are humble in the face of the complex issues a school leader faces. You are passionate about school development and quality in schools and are grounded in current school research. We want you to be responsive in your leadership, to be able to create good relationships and to have a positive view of students. You work in a structured way and have good experience of documentation and follow-up. You have adequate skills in digital development work, to absorb new systems and use them in your work. You see the importance of focus and a long-term approach to your work. You can quickly adapt and deal with changes and changing conditions that arise in the work. You remain effective and motivated despite setbacks and act with high integrity and loyalty in your leadership role. You have a co-creative approach based on good communication and relationship building skills. You treat colleagues equally and respectfully. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
