The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. The Technical Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water and sewage, waste management, parks and playgrounds, streets and traffic, public transport and transport services. The department also coordinates the municipality's company cars and heavy vehicles. The department consists of around 60 employees with a wide range of skills. WORK TASKS As a plant worker, you will be part of a well-knit team of about 15 employees who provide the best possible service to the municipality's clients and citizens. Together we do everything we can to ensure that the citizens of the municipality have the best possible society to live in. Our workplace is characterized by openness and honest relationships where we have a high ceiling. Your main tasks are in the operation and maintenance of streets and the sanitation of water and sewage in existing streets. Work on the construction of new streets and roads, as well as all water and sewerage work, is an important part of your duties. Your flexibility and breadth will also mean that you will often work on a wide variety of tasks outside your normal area of activity. Examples of common tasks are pipe laying, pipeline construction, construction of pumping stations, etc. Renovation and new construction of streets, footpaths and cycle paths are also part of your duties, as is the operation and maintenance of municipal facilities. You will work throughout the municipality, although most of your work will be in the vicinity of the city. Water and sewerage emergency response may be part of the service, as well as assisting other groups/units in the Technical Department. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for people who have: - Secondary education - Good computer skills - Driving license B - Experience in water and sewerage works is required. - Requirement of material knowledge in water and sewerage networks. - Experience in new and reconstruction of streets is required. - Or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. The following would be an advantage: - Experience in leak detection. - Education Chainsaw class AB. - Training Food hygiene in distribution plant. - Knowledge of drawing theory. - Experience in height measurement and measuring instruments. - Certification of PE welding / butt welding. - Experience in pumping stations. - Safe lifting. - Training work on the road. - Hot work. - Safe excavation.
