Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in the Municipality of Boden!
The Labor Market and Education Administration has overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality’s residents. The department is also responsible for the Culture School, food services, and central student health services. In our food services division, we prepare and serve meals to preschools, schools, senior living facilities, and home care services in the municipality of Boden. We currently have approximately 75 employees. We are now looking for a chef for the Lunda preschool kitchen, a central kitchen located on Sävastön, outside of Boden.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibility is to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for six departments. We collaborate across the organization, so you may be asked to work in other kitchens as needed. We hold workplace meetings where we share experiences, develop our operations, and work together to improve the work environment. The role includes carrying out the kitchen’s self-monitoring procedures based on its HACCP system, tracking portion statistics, and managing web-based ordering of food and kitchen supplies.
Scheduled daytime hours; temporary position from November 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026; 75% position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained chef or has other training combined with kitchen experience that the employer deems equivalent. Preferred qualifications include completion of a high school Restaurant and Food Service program, knowledge of special diets, training or experience in facility maintenance, and a Class B driver’s license.
You have basic IT skills to handle orders, use a smartphone, operate the HR system, and communicate via email, as well as a strong ability to verbally and in writing provide and receive documentation in Swedish and to work according to written procedures.
To thrive with us, you should be self-motivated, meticulous, and trustworthy. You’ll contribute to a collaborative work environment by working well with various colleagues, be flexible, take responsibility, and have the ability to work in a structured manner.
