The department has overall responsibility for developing, leading and coordinating the municipality's strategic work in the areas of business management, finance and purchasing and procurement. Other tasks include providing advice, support and services to politicians, managers and others. In the municipality, the administrative processes are centralized and the financial support to the committees / administrations is therefore gathered with us at the finance department. You will be part of a team with a total of 11 financial controllers and economists and provide support to the activities within the municipality. You will work very closely with the controllers/economists who are part of the team to which you belong and who work in the same field of activity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As an economist in Boden municipality, you will work to provide consultative management support to business and unit managers in their work with budgets, forecasts, financial statements, reporting and analysis, which means frequent contact with the business. The role also includes participating in investigations and development projects and providing training to managers and employees. You will work with other finance-related tasks relating to statistics, government grants, project management, operational data, etc. QUALIFICATIONS For this role we are looking for you who have: - Completed academic training in the field of economics - Experience working in the Office package, with particularly good knowledge of Excel - Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish in speech and writing We also look that you: - Have experience in giving presentations and feel confident in this - Can communicate financial information in an educational and easy-to-understand way It is an advantage if you have: - Worked with operational management support - Experience with Hypergene for monitoring and analysis and Unit4's financial system - Worked in the public sector or other large organizations - Knowledge of legislation and standards from the municipal sector As a person, you are analytical, structured and have a consultative approach.
