Workplace The family counseling is located in an apartment with two rooms and a kitchen in central Boden. The position as family counselor is solitary. The operation is part of the Individual and Family Care's outpatient care Team support, with the team managers at the outpatient care as the immediate supervisor. Individual and family care now applies working time reduction by one hour a day, during the project period until 2027-12-31. WORK TASKS As a family counselor, you will mainly work with couples but also other family constellations. The work involves helping couples with their cohabitation and relationship problems through counseling and conversation therapy with a therapeutic focus. This may involve conflicts, crises, communication problems, etc. The family counselor also works with other family constellations, such as adult siblings, adult children and parents who for various reasons need to improve their relationship. Family counseling is also a preventive activity in terms of working for the well-being of citizens in their relationships and for children's growing conditions. It is essential that children's perspectives and needs are kept alive in the work of family counseling. The work of the family counseling service also includes some outreach and preventive work, for example in collaboration with BVC. As a family counselor, you are also an important part of our work environment work, by being responsible for supporting the staff at IFO in the event of any threat and violence situations. The service offers external supervision. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a social worker, psychologist or have other similar higher education and a basic psychotherapy education. You also have experience of psychosocial treatment work with couples and families. It is important that you have a professional approach and that you have the ability to create trust and good relationships. It is natural for you to work from a child's perspective and you are positive about collaboration with other actors for the benefit of children and for preventive purposes. You are used to and enjoy working independently. You have an interest in seeking new knowledge in the field on your own. In-depth psychotherapeutic training stage 2 is an advantage.
