The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. Are you a university-educated GIS engineer or have acquired equivalent knowledge in working life? WORK TASKS As a GIS engineer at Boden municipality's VAA department, you have a central role and will work mainly with the municipality's VA database in the community building. You have an active role in driving the organization's development forward with your technical expertise. The work is free and means that you have a great deal of responsibility for independently performing your tasks and collecting, producing and delivering the requested information. In addition to the expertise you contribute, you have colleagues in the form of a measurement engineer and within a VA project planning and operation in-house. Your work tasks in essence: - Publish and administer map services and apps in ESRI environment - Creation of authorization-controlled and redundant data for on-call activities and follow-up of classified geodata. - Other IT-related tasks may include - Supporting the development of processes for geodata, from measurement to GIS for the digitization process. - Develop and manage existing water and wastewater facilities using the GIS and CAD platforms. - Participate in community building projects, both internal and external. - Collection with measuring instruments, updating and provision of geodata and geographical information for business needs. QUALIFICATIONS University degree in GIS engineering or equivalent professional experience. - Database knowledge mainly with SQL server - Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English - Good general IT skills - B driving license - Swedish citizen It is an advantage if you have experience of: - Practical work with VA database such as Geosecma/Sokigo, VA-bank etc. - Experience of digitization work and information security work - Interest in database construction. - Work in VA operations is an advantage As a good organizer, you plan and prioritize your time and have a structured way of working. Very great importance will be attached to your personal qualities. OTHER Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Usually Swedish citizenship is required. A security check with a register check will then be carried out before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
