The Public Works Administration shall, with a forward-looking approach, make available, maintain, manage and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure and transport. The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view.
The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments.
Boden municipality is facing new exciting challenges with, among other things, the creation of new residential areas and business areas for both industry and trade. We at the Urban Planning Administration, the Physical Planning Unit, have an important role in achieving the municipality's vision of 33,000 inhabitants by 2030 and we are actively working to increase the attractiveness of our municipality. The Physical Planning Unit has 20 employees who are distributed in the subject areas of general planning, detailed planning, GIS/MBK analysis and land and development. The unit needs to strengthen its team with a GIS engineer with metrological expertise.

JOB DUTIES
As a GIS engineer with us, you will work to develop, update and quality assure the geographical information used in our operations. You will be an important part of the work of creating map data, analyzes and data support that is used to plan and manage the municipality's areas and facilities. The role includes working with both ongoing maintenance, measurement and more development-oriented tasks. You will contribute to improving our working methods and GIS solutions, participate in collaboration with other administrations and provide support to other colleagues who use geodata in their work.
The work may also involve interpreting drawings, taking field measurements, processing data, creating analyses and developing information structures that support our long-term planning.
Together with the GIS team, you will be responsible for system maintenance, maintenance of the geographical databases, management of our software, maintenance and development of the municipality's GIS platform, map production and geographical analysis in connection with our assignments.
We work with ESRI software and are actively working on the implementation and development of a portal solution in ArcGIS Enterprise. We also work with GAIDA/Geosecma and CAD. For database management we have SQL-Server and ArcSDE. We use Leica's GNSS instruments and total station in our surveying assignments.
We actively collaborate with neighboring municipalities on common business support and working methods. With us, you get to participate in development projects, meet technical challenges and contribute to digitally advancing urban planning.

QUALIFICATIONS
You should be a qualified GIT/GIS engineer and have practical experience in metrology work.
You will have good knowledge and experience of ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Pro and have acquired proficiency in their use. You also have knowledge and experience of database management and ArcSDE. You are committed, thorough and creative. You have an ability to build relationships and establish trust with different audiences. You are happy to work in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing.
Merit: Experience with SQL server and FME or other data flow and automation tools is an advantage.
We attach great importance to personal suitability. A B driving license is a requirement.
OTHER
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Usually Swedish citizenship is required. A security check with a register check will then be carried out before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
