The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. Development and Support is responsible for developing and supporting the management network and its processes, including pumping stations, water treatment plants and biogas production. The unit also supports the Waste Unit and the Recycling Unit, and works both strategically and operationally. We have big plans for the future! To meet the expected population growth in Boden, we will resize two large plants and plan for necessary maintenance. The waste unit is dealing with new legal requirements and increased collection, while the recycling unit is working to increase recycling in the community. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of Unit, you have operational responsibility, budget responsibility, staff and work environment responsibility, and lead and distribute the work of the unit. The Head of Unit reports to the Head of Department on matters relating to operations, contracting and strategic choices. The Unit Manager is a newly created position with responsibility for the Development and Support unit. At present, the unit consists of water engineers, measurement engineers and process engineers. The unit currently employs 9 people. In the role of unit manager, you are responsible for planning operational projects and ongoing replacements. You plan reinvestments together with the management team. As unit manager, you are involved in the design of project directives, strategic choices for the future VA facility and the department's representative in various forums. You act as an expert in procurement and represent the department in dialog with the Project and Investment unit. The Head of Unit is part of the department's management team together with the Head of Department and the department's other three heads of unit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a university or college education, or experience that we consider equivalent in VA and leadership, preferably from the contractor, consultant or client side. We believe that you have experience of being responsible for project management/project planning or equivalent qualifying assignments. We are looking for a communicative, confident, experienced, creative, holistic and development-oriented person. B-driving license is a requirement and good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. You have experience of working in AutoCAD and GIS.
