At Garnis Äldrecentrum you will meet patients with varying needs, in an environment characterized by development, cooperation and good team spirit. We are now looking for a committed occupational therapist to join our team with a focus on short-term housing. Garnis short-term housing receives patients who for a period need extra support to cope with everyday life with a focus on living in their home. It can be about readjustment before going home after hospitalization, need for palliative care, relief for relatives or alternating care. With us, each individual receives safe and professional care. As an occupational therapist, there is also the opportunity to contribute to other parts of the Elderly Center's activities, such as the Senior Square and day activities, which provides a varied and stimulating work content. With us, you get a working day filled with meetings with people with different backgrounds, diagnoses and disabilities who need your particular skills. WORK TASKS As an occupational therapist with us, you work daily close to the patients and in teams with other professionals at the short-term home. Before the patients go home, you collaborate with the home care rehabilitation unit. Your duties include: Assessments of activity and functional capacity Prescription and fitting of assistive devices Planning and implementation of individualized rehabilitation Supervision, instruction and training of staff Conducting home visits to assess home environment and assistive technology needs Daily and active participation in teamwork and care planning Here you will have the opportunity to use all your skills as an occupational therapist and contribute to the safety, independence and quality of life of our patients.
