The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. As a seasonal park worker you make a difference! The Parks Unit works with the operation, maintenance and development of the municipality's parks, green areas, urban forests and playgrounds. We want to create attractive outdoor environments for citizens and visitors. In your work, you contribute to green, well-kept outdoor environments where people enjoy themselves and socialize. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a park worker, you work with the care and maintenance of parks and green spaces. We carry out green space maintenance such as lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, care and irrigation of summer flowers, perennials, shrubs and trees. We maintain playgrounds, pick up litter, empty bins, etc. We work outdoors in all weathers and the work is sometimes physically demanding. You will work in teams where you plan and are responsible for ensuring that assigned work is carried out and then reported back. We offer a varied job and would like you to contribute to developing the business. Supervision of holiday young people and trainees is included in the service. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education and are interested in park work. You are a responsible person with good interpersonal skills who can work both independently and with others. You can follow instructions and work in an efficient and structured manner. The jobs you carry out are well planned, of the right quality and completed on time. You have a good sense of service and communicate well both within your team and with people you meet in the city. You are physically fit and enjoy physical work. Requirements -High school education or experience that the employer considers equivalent -Basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You must be able to understand oral and written work and safety instructions. -B-driving license manual gearbox Merits -Documented work experience in park/garden maintenance, landscaping, etc. - Relevant training -Vegetation knowledge -Experience of driving and handling machinery used in park work, preferably also relevant professional certificates. OTHER Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Usually Swedish citizenship is required. A security check with a register check will then be carried out before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
