The HR department consists of 24 employees divided into a payroll unit and a personnel unit. The payroll unit has 12 staff members divided between payroll, pensions/insurance, personnel systems and administration. The role of the Human Resources Department is to lead, develop and coordinate employer issues, and provide support to managers so that they can fulfill their employer responsibilities. The HR department shall contribute to ensuring that the operations have good conditions for achieving set goals with satisfied citizens and employees and for strengthening Boden municipality's employer brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION.
Do you want to lead the future payroll processes and service in pension and collective agreement insurance in Boden municipality? As our new Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our approximately 3,200 salaries are handled with high quality, good service and efficient working methods. In this role, you will have personnel, budget and operational responsibility for the Payroll Unit. You are responsible for ensuring that the payroll unit constantly improves working methods and system support based on current legislation and collective agreements and the needs of the administrations. Customer focus, commitment and day-to-day presence are crucial here. Together with the payroll unit's skilled staff, you will drive both day-to-day work and long-term improvements.
As payroll manager, business intelligence and networking with other municipalities and suppliers are important for the development of the business. You have an active role in the development project that is conducted between the municipalities in Norrbotten in payroll and system management.
The payroll manager is directly subordinate to the personnel manager and together you create the conditions for the link between payroll and personnel processes and for the digital development that is underway. All to create the best possible support for the municipality's managers and employees. QUALIFICATIONS
For this role we are looking for you who have:
- Academic degree in HR or systems management with experience in payroll processes. Alternatively, other specialization in combination with work experience in the payroll area that the employer considers to be equivalent.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Proven experience in managing employees, as a manager or in a supervisory role
- You have a few years of experience working in the payroll field
- Experience with the HR system Personec
- Experience of working in the public sector
