Welcome to the Department of Democracy, Communication and Security (DKS) in Boden municipality! At the security unit, we are a tight team that works to ensure that the municipality of Boden's important activities function, regardless of what happens in the municipality. We work across the municipality in crisis preparedness, civil defense, security protection, information security and signal protection. Our work is at a strategic level in collaboration with the municipality's administrations, companies and external actors from local to national level. Examples of collaborative actors in the area are the county administrative board, the armed forces, the business community and civil society.
The assignment as a preparedness coordinator means working in a highly topical area with a wide variety of tasks. You will mainly investigate, analyze, support, coordinate and develop the municipality-wide work with a focus on increasing the municipality's preparedness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will include, among other things
- Investigate strategic assignments linked to municipal preparedness issues
- Driving assignments and projects in preparedness issues
- Provide support in continuity management to administrations and companies in their work on preparedness
- Identify risks, propose measures and follow up on improvements to improve the municipality's resilience
- Plan and implement training and exercise activities
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for people who have:
- University degree preferably in security and emergency preparedness or other university degree combined with work experience, which the employer considers relevant. For example, in project management, crisis preparedness, civil defense.
- You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience of working in a public administration or politically governed organization.
- B-driving license is not a requirement, but is considered an advantage as the position may sometimes involve travel by car.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in project management, investigation and analysis work.
- Experience of working with crisis preparedness and civil defense.
- You have experience in previous roles that have involved a high level of security awareness.

The service is subject to placement in security class according to statutory requirements (2018:585), which means that background checks, security clearance and register checks are carried out before employment. Swedish citizenship is required for the position. The position is part of the municipality's crisis and war organization.
