We have overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality’s residents. The department is also responsible for the Culture School, food services, and student health. The preschools are located a few kilometers apart. Björkdungens Preschool is a relatively new facility with six classrooms, a large and creative outdoor environment, two large play areas, and rooms for an art studio, woodshop, water play, and a restaurant with a kitchen. Kyrkkläppen Preschool is newly built and has been in operation for just over a year. The preschool has six classrooms spread across two floors. Each floor has a common area. The preschool also has rooms for art, woodworking, and water play. On the lower level, there is a restaurant with a kitchen. The preschools have a good mix of preschool teachers and childcare workers, with broad knowledge and experience. Quality assurance efforts are led by staff members together with the principal, assistant principal, and the area coordinator. Areas for development in Boden Municipality’s preschools include systematic quality assurance and goal-oriented teaching with a focus on children’s abilities in language/communication and the compensatory mission. Every year, Boden Municipality holds joint professional development sessions for all staff members in the municipality’s preschools. JOB DESCRIPTION For the Central Preschool District, we are looking for a licensed preschool teacher who wants to work with children ages 1–5. If you haven’t yet graduated but are nearing the end of your preschool teacher training, you’re also welcome to apply! You should be prepared to work with all age groups at the preschool. You must be prepared to work during the preschool’s operating hours, work one week at the Summer Preschool each year if needed, and participate in any professional development sessions in the evenings. You must be well-versed in the preschool curriculum and work to achieve increased goal fulfillment in a committed and positive manner. You must be flexible and confident in your professional role, as well as prepared to take responsibility and initiative. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher. You are cooperative, take initiative, are flexible, and solution-oriented. It is important that you see the big picture and work together with colleagues on a daily basis toward set goals. You should view each child based on their individual needs. Experience with the TRAS, MIO, and Low-Affect Approach tools is a plus. Digital tools are used in our systematic quality assurance work.
