We are currently seeking a procurement specialist for the Finance Department of the Municipal Executive Administration. The department has overall responsibility for developing, leading, and coordinating the municipality’s strategic work in the areas of purchasing and procurement, operational management, and finance. Other responsibilities include providing advice, support, and services to policymakers, managers, and others. Administrative processes in the municipality are centralized, so support for purchasing and procurement is consolidated within our Finance Department.
You will be part of a team of nine employees, including procurement specialists, contract controllers, and the head of purchasing and procurement. You will work closely with other procurement specialists and maintain close contact with the municipality’s other departments and companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In our purchasing and procurement department, you will conduct municipality-wide procurements as well as procurements for municipal companies. You will lead and carry out procurements independently in close collaboration with the relevant departments. The work covers the entire process from the start of the assignment to the signing of the contract, and you will work on several procurements simultaneously.
Other important responsibilities include contributing to operational development alongside other colleagues, sharing knowledge, providing advice and support, and serving as a business support function. You are also expected to actively participate in the organization’s development efforts regarding shared processes, work methods, and an increased focus on better business practices. The role also includes ongoing communication and training initiatives in the area of procurement, and you will have numerous external and internal contacts with suppliers, customers, and partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• A college, university, or vocational college degree, preferably with a focus on economics or law, or a field of study relevant to the position that the employer deems equivalent. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge and skills through professional experience in the industry and training that the employer deems equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
• Proficiency with computers and systems
We view the following as a plus:
• Experience with the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and Microsoft Office.
• Work in the public sector
• The Kommers procurement system or similar systems
