Our current head of school is taking on new challenges within the administration and therefore we are looking for a replacement for the position of head of school for preschool and adapted primary and secondary school. JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a committed, goal-oriented and driven school manager for preschool and adapted primary and secondary school. As a school manager, you have overall responsibility for finances, staff, work environment and quality and school development. The assignment involves responsibility for ensuring that the business meets municipal and national goals and guidelines. You are responsible for the management, control and follow-up of both the educational activities and for finances and organization. The management assignment currently includes direct personnel responsibility for 7 principals. Within the framework of your assignment, you are also responsible for conducting qualified analyses, investigations/reports and presenting these to the political committee. You participate in issues relating to strategic operational and premises planning, new buildings, conversions and extensions, and create the conditions for running operations, e.g. financial and personnel. You are a member of the management team and report directly to the Head of Administration. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a teacher training and have completed the principal training. You have well-documented experience of working as a manager in the municipal education system and are familiar with the school's governing documents. Experience of managing other managers/leaders would be an advantage. Furthermore, you are a courageous, committed and clear team player who leads in an unpretentious and trust-based way with the absolute goal of creating a sense of "we" and participation among all employees. We assume that you have an inner drive to work both strategically, tactically and proactively with a holistic perspective on the business. You have the ability to support difficult decisions without being controlling and work to create room for maneuver for your employees. You have the courage to wait but also to push where necessary. You are always results-oriented and solution-focused and dare to try new paths where any mistakes are seen as a learning experience. You have the ability to analyze and develop your activities in collaboration with your group of principals and the administration's management team. You are able to weigh up complex information and make considerations, as well as making correct trade-offs that demonstrate factual and objective judgment. You remain effective and motivated despite setbacks. You act with a high level of integrity and loyalty in your leadership role, achieving expected results and taking uncomfortable decisions when necessary.
