Here, we prioritize students’ progress toward their goals. The mission of Student Health Services is to create conditions for enhanced learning, increased safety, and improved health by supporting preschools and schools in their efforts to promote children’s and students’ learning, health, and development. The Central Student Health Services team currently consists of a school counselor, a school psychologist, a special education teacher, a school nurse, and a school physician. JOB DUTIES The school psychologist’s area of responsibility is mental health, learning, and development. The focus is on students’ progress toward their goals, where the school psychologist helps create conditions for enhanced learning, increased security, and improved health. The school psychologist is available to provide advice, support, consultation, and guidance to both teachers and principals, as well as to develop student health initiatives at the organizational level. This may involve, for example, addressing problematic school absenteeism, disruptive behaviors, and accommodations based on students’ individual needs. The school psychologist’s responsibilities also include assessing students’ eligibility for admission to adapted elementary schools or adapted high schools. As a school psychologist, you will play a key role within the Central Student Health Services and at the municipality’s elementary and high schools. You will often work in a team with school counselors, school nurses, and special education teachers within the Central Student Health Services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Experience working in student health services or in other settings involving children and adolescents, or in other types of health promotion work, is a plus. Further education in educational psychology is also a plus. You are interested in development work, have strong collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a team. You are able to independently structure your work and set the priorities required by the organization. You have a positive outlook on people and actively work to foster engagement and participation. You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A Class B driver’s license is required for this position. Please include your psychologist’s license with your application.  A criminal background check must be presented prior to employment in preschool and elementary school.
