The team consists of two team leaders, a senior social worker, and case managers with broad expertise in social work in general and specialized expertise in areas such as income support, children & youth, family law & paternity, foster care, domestic violence, and substance abuse/addiction. Together with the other teams within IFO, we operate and develop an organization structured to prioritize the individual and the family. JOB DUTIES As a Senior Social Worker, you will primarily provide case support to social workers in their day-to-day work. In your role, you will collaborate extensively both internally within the IFO and externally with other agencies. The Senior Social Worker plays a key role in the orientation of newly hired social workers specializing in children and youth. As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll contribute essential knowledge regarding current legislation and represent the Social Services Committee in legal proceedings related to the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). The tasks are varied, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful. The team members are dedicated individuals who are driven by the desire to make a difference through their work. As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll have access to external case and process guidance as well as regular professional development meetings focused on growth; you’ll also work closely with team leaders.  Some business travel and on-call duty for government agencies may be required. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us in our meaningful work for children and youth in Boden. Applicants for this position must hold a degree in social work and have several years of experience as a social worker in a public authority setting. You have a solid understanding of the relevant legislation governing interventions under the Social Services Act (SoL) and current laws regarding the use of coercive measures. To be able to mentor your colleagues, you must also have personal experience working in a regulatory capacity focused specifically on children and/or youth. You should be confident in your professional role and have a desire to develop the organization together with your colleagues. You are organized and enjoy collaborating, yet you also have the ability to work independently and in a solution-focused manner.
