The Employment and Education Administration has overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education and employment issues that affect our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and the food supply, and performs tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool class, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school and adapted upper secondary school. The special education group has 12 places in a separate classroom with an adapted learning environment. Each student is taught based on their individual circumstances. The staff team consists of two teachers/special teachers and a subject teacher. All pupils taught in the special education group have a class membership in the regular class. The aim is for pupils to participate in the mainstream class based on each pupil's individual circumstances. Each week, time is set aside for team planning, development issues, class conferences and quality work in teams or subject teams. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your main task is to support pupils' learning and development towards the primary school's goals, both individually and together with colleagues, and to provide social support to pupils to prevent and promote safety, health and learning. Contact teaching is part of your role, where contact with parents/guardians is an important part. You have a coordinating and overall role in the learning and attendance of pupils in the special education group, as well as in the planning and implementation of their appraisals. Cooperation with the teaching staff is therefore essential and a prerequisite for the work. You will be part of the Special Needs Group team and will prepare for and participate in student health meetings, student meetings and class conferences. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained special education teacher, but the application is also open to you who are a licensed teacher with a focus on primary school later years. We would like you to have previous experience of equivalent work. We are looking for you who are positive and committed and who want to be a support to our students. You have a professional approach and enjoy working with students both individually and in groups. You have a low-key and self-reflective approach, as well as a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
