Welcome to the Employment and Education Administration in Boden municipality!
We have overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education and employment issues that affect our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and the food supply and fulfills tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school and adapted upper secondary school.As an employee in our administration, you will have competent colleagues who show respect and tolerance and whose great commitment creates job satisfaction and pride. Torpgärdsskolan is located in a large residential area about 5 km from the center of Boden, with its main catchment area - Bodsvedjan, Norrbyarna, Norra Svartbyn, Södra Svartbyn and Torpgärdan. The school has about 300 pupils from preschool class to year 6. We also have three leisure departments. Torpgärdsskolan has a large schoolyard with both forest and grass areas that give the children space to play. The proximity to the forest and nature contributes to the school's good opportunities for outdoor activities. At Torpgärdsskolan we encourage active breaks as well as brain breaks and movement challenges during the school day. This is to give the students the best conditions to absorb new knowledge and develop good social skills. At Torpgärdsskolan, we work to ensure that students have confidence in their own ability to learn and succeed. We work with collegial learning at the school to constantly develop our activities and are based on current research and development in that work.

JOB DUTIES
Do you want to be involved in leading the further development of student health work at the school? Do you want to develop your role as a special needs teacher together with us?
We are looking for you who want to work as a special educator or special teacher at Torpgärdsskolan!
As a special education teacher or special needs teacher at Torpgärdsskolan
- you work both preventive and remedial with a focus on language, writing and reading development, neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or mathematics development for students and student groups.
- you work with critically reviewing and applying methods to assess pupils' development and adapting working methods based on pupils' needs.
- you are responsible for mapping and developing the Swedish language of pupils whose mother tongue is not Swedish.
- participate in the school's student health team
- you will work closely with other staff at the school, where surveys and pedagogical development work are one part and analysis work, supervision and coaching of colleagues is another.
- are responsible, together with the school's special education teacher, for proposing and designing extra adaptations, special support and other solutions so that students develop as far as possible towards both the knowledge goals and the other goals of the governing documents.
- work closely with the school's special needs teacher, student health services, deputy principal and principal.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a teacher and have a license / degree as a special educator or special teacher.
- You are familiar with the curriculum and other governing documents.
- You are self-driven, responsible and have good collaboration skills.
- You see opportunities in each child's individual development.
- You are able to establish and maintain professional and trusting relationships with students, guardians and colleagues.
- You are highly communicative, interactive, responsive and highly motivated to the profession.
- You are flexible and capable of self-reflection and analysis.
- You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and are used to working in different digital environments.
- You can prioritize, motivate and lead others in student health work.
Experience is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Interviews will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period.

Please enclose a teaching certificate or diploma. An extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
