Brönjaskolan is a school for grades 7–9 in Sävast, seven kilometers outside the center of Boden, with approximately 250 students. Brönjaskolan has three teaching teams organized by grade level and a well-developed, school-based student health program. The student health team consists of a special education teacher, a school speech-language pathologist, an academic and career counselor, a school counselor, and a school nurse. Brönja School also has a safety team consisting of a safety coordinator and a safety resource person, who work actively to build relationships, foster a sense of safety, and ensure a peaceful learning environment for our students.   Our focus areas are increased achievement of learning goals through higher student attendance, as well as strengthened reading and writing skills across all school subjects. JOB DUTIES We need a music teacher for the school year, as our current music teacher is on partial parental leave. You’ll be part of the 7th-grade team, and teaching will be your primary responsibility. You’ll plan lessons together with our music teacher.  As a team, you’ll share the mission of creating the best possible conditions for students to thrive, feel at home, and feel safe. You’ll work one day at Brönjaskolan and, if possible, one day at Stureskolan. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for a certified teacher qualified to teach music in grades 7–9, but if you are curious about the school and have an interest in music, we welcome your application. In that case, experience and related education will be considered qualifying factors.  We want you to be open to varied teaching approaches, collaboration, and school development. Additionally, you have strong pedagogical insights and are well-versed in the school’s guiding documents and systematic quality assurance efforts. Your pedagogical and social skills make it easy for you to connect with people, and you are therefore also skilled at creating positive learning environments and sharing your knowledge with our students.
