Stureskolan is a school for grades 7–9 located in central Boden with approximately 360 students. We offer a preparatory class for newly arrived students, an adapted elementary school program, and ISB—the International School of Boden. The school is organized into four teams, each with a special education teacher who also serves as the team leader. We have skilled and dedicated educators who work in a strong culture of collaboration toward a shared goal: that every student should develop to the fullest extent possible based on their individual abilities. Our well-developed local student wellness team consists of the principal, assistant principals, special education teachers, a school counselor, a school nurse, a school psychologist, and a college and career counselor. Together, we work proactively and preventively for the students’ best interests. We also have a safety team with two safety coordinators and several safety resources who actively foster positive relationships and a sense of safety during recess—in the hallways and in our student lounge. Stureskolan’s goal is to increase student attendance and strengthen their reading and writing skills to promote higher achievement. Surely you’d also like to have one of the most important jobs in the world? 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES We’re looking for someone who wants to teach Spanish and Swedish to grades 7–9 at Stureskolan. Teaching will be your primary responsibility, but as a teacher, you’ll also serve as the homeroom teacher for a group of students—a role in which you’ll create the best possible conditions for students to thrive, feel at home, and be safe. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a qualified and certified teacher in Spanish and Swedish. We want you to be open to varied teaching methods, collaboration, and school development. In addition, you have strong pedagogical insights and are well-versed in the school’s guiding documents and systematic quality assurance efforts.   Your pedagogical and social skills make it easy for you to connect with people, and you are therefore also skilled at conveying your knowledge to our students. You are comfortable using computers as a tool in educational activities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.  An extract from the criminal record must be presented prior to employment in preschool and elementary school.
