The International School of Boden is seeking an energetic, outgoing and collaborative teacher who shares a commitment to inquiry and concept-based teaching and learning. As an IB MYP teacher you plan, deliver and assess according to the IB curriculum and framework. You would be involved in creating a good learning environment for all our students together with your colleagues in the work team. There is an on-going expectation to develop the middle years program in accordance with the MYP expectations. The MYP teacher is part of the MYP team with a high emphasis on collaborative planning and learning. The MYP teacher position requires organizational skills, flexibility and open-mindedness. All documentation and communication at ISB is carried out in English. As a new school, ISB is in a period of growth and development, opening up the opportunity for enthusiastic and passionate educators to join our small team of hard-working and caring teachers. As a teacher at our International School 7-9, you will teach in English but this position includes teaching math and science subjects to the students at MYP as well as mentoring. As our school is a candidate school for IB, it is an advantage but not a requirement to have experience from IB. QUALIFICATIONS Qualification This position requires a teaching qualification, along with certification and evidence of teaching experience. The candidate must be qualified to teach maths and science, and should demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction in the classroom. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and creating an inclusive, safe learning environment. An understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, along with the ability to connect with students from various backgrounds, is essential. The candidate must also be able to collaborate effectively within a team of professionals and foster positive relationships with both students and parents. Qualification We are primarily looking for you who are trained and licensed teacher in mathematics and science subjects with eligibility for grades 7-9 or have a teacher education from another country but with eligibility to teach subjects and science subjects. Pedagogical merit with certificates and evidence of teaching is desired. You should have the ability to differentiate in the classroom, the ability to cater for individuals from different cultural backgrounds and be able to create an inclusive, safe learning environment. You should appreciate a classroom characterized by cultural diversity. Be able to work well in teams with other educators and build good relationships with students and parents. You are self-motivated, responsible, have good teamwork skills and see opportunities in each student's individual development. You have the ability to establish and maintain professional and trusting relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Work experience requirements: Experience is an advantage.
