The International School of Boden is seeking an energetic, outgoing and collaborative teacher who shares a commitment to inquiry and concept-based teaching and learning. As an IB PYP teacher you plan, deliver and assess according to the IB curriculum and framework. You would be involved in creating a good learning environment for all our students together with your colleagues in the work team. There is an on-going expectation to develop the early years program in accordance with the Enhanced PYP expectations. The PYP teacher is part of the PYP team with a high emphasis on collaborative planning and learning. The PYP teacher position requires organizational skills, flexibility and open-mindedness. All documentation and communication at ISB is carried out in English. Able to work well in teams with other professionals and able to build good relationships with students and parents. For people educated in the Swedish education system, the position is suitable to apply for licensed teachers in the primary years. Qualifications We are primarily looking for people who are trained and licensed teachers in f-3 or 4-6, or have a teacher education from another country. Pedagogical merit with certificates and evidence of teaching. You should have the ability to differentiate in the classroom, the ability to cater for individuals from different cultural backgrounds and be able to create an inclusive, safe learning environment. You should appreciate a classroom characterized by cultural diversity. Be able to work well in teams with other educators and build good relationships with students and parents. You are self-motivated, responsible, have good teamwork skills and see opportunities in each student's individual development. You have the ability to establish and maintain professional and trusting relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. OTHER Experience is an advantage.
