The Labor Market and Education Administration has overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality’s residents. The department is also responsible for the Culture School and school meal services, and carries out tasks related to the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool, elementary school, special education elementary school, high school, and special education high school. JOB DUTIES We’re looking for a colleague who wants to help develop the automotive and transportation program, with a focus on transportation. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to take on significant responsibility and participate in educational development. You’ll teach both theoretical and practical courses at the high school level. You will mentor students and contribute to the school’s educational development efforts. To thrive in this role, it’s important that you enjoy building connections and maintaining relationships, actively work in line with the school’s core values, and collaborate with the school’s other staff members.  You are passionate about students’ development and about educating them to meet the needs of the industry. You stay up to date on current research and are open to new ideas. You collaborate easily and welcome feedback from both colleagues and management in order to improve your work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: -is a certified vocational teacher in automotive and transportation (or is currently enrolled in a vocational teacher training program) -holds a CE driver’s license -has relevant professional experience in the transportation industry -has a good understanding of the industry’s requirements and developments - are confident, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership style - have the ability to combine structure with flexibility in your teaching - share the school’s core values and want to work closely with students - have been active in the transportation industry for at least 3 years Desirable: - Experience teaching at the high school level - Qualifications in multiple areas of transportation subjects - Experience with work-based learning (APL) and industry collaboration Employment type: Fixed-term position.
