The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. We are looking for you who want to make a difference! Then you are the one we are looking for! The Department of Water, Sewerage and Waste (VAA) is responsible for the municipal part of Boden's water supply, wastewater treatment and waste management. We are currently looking for a dynamic waste officer to join our waste/customer service unit. With us, you will be a key player in developing and improving waste operations in the municipality, with the aim of reducing waste volumes and creating a sustainable future. We are looking for people who have a genuine interest in environmental and waste issues and who thrive in a dynamic working environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The role of Waste Officer is varied and includes, among other things: - Driving and participating in development projects that contribute to better waste management. - Educating and informing citizens, businesses and administrations on waste issues. - Contribute to the implementation of activities under the municipality's waste and recycling plan - Manage waste-related issues and update our digital channels (website, social media, apps) - Compile waste statistics and translate the results into concrete actions to reduce waste in the municipality. You will also complement and support the customer service by: - Independently handling customer queries related to waste and recycling, including interpretation of regulations and tariffs. - Providing support to colleagues regarding regulations and being involved in contractor follow-ups. - Act as a contact person both within and outside the municipality, and actively seek contact with others. QUALIFICATIONS You have a high school education, college preparation, and a B driving license. You are self-motivated, take initiative and are driven by continuous development and improvement. At the same time, you are positive, outgoing and have an ability to see the big picture. We see that you have an analytical mindset, are used to planning and running projects and are easy to analyze and document. The role involves many parallel tasks and broad contact areas, which requires you to be structured, like to collaborate and have an easy time building networks. Your sense of service is well-developed and you provide a professional treatment to both municipal residents and colleagues. Your communication and interpersonal skills, together with your commitment to quality, characterize your work. Since we work a lot with information and documentation, you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and be used to working with computers.
