The Employment and Education Administration has overall responsibility for integration, labor market, education and employment issues that affect our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and the food supply, and performs tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool class, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school and adapted upper secondary school. The school is located 6 km from central Boden beautifully situated in Heden next to a small forest that is frequently used by the school. The focus has been on creating space in the room, so that the work environment can serve as an extra educator for the students, be easy to change and at the same time increase job satisfaction for both students and educators. The outdoor environment, the spacious schoolyard, is also under constant development. The school has a well-functioning recess program with activities for the students. WORK TASKS As a teacher of wood and metal crafts, you teach at 1-2 school units in Boden Municipality. The current position is located at Hedens skola 3 days/week and at Torpgärdsskolan 2 days/week. Both schools are F-6 schools. You will work in close cooperation with our teacher of textile craftsmanship who has the same division of schools during the working week. As a craft teacher, the work is about awakening curiosity and desire for the craft and training in developing their own ideas from thought to finished product. The students should be given the opportunity to build and develop their own ability, creativity and problem-solving skills. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who are a trained and licensed teacher in crafts. You are also welcome to apply if you have other skills in the field of crafts. You are familiar with the curriculum and safety work in a woodworking classroom. You are self-motivated, responsible, have good teamwork skills and see opportunities in each student's individual development. You have the ability to establish and maintain professional and trusting relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. OTHER Please attach a teaching certificate or diploma.
