Do you want to help shape a safe, meaningful and inclusive leisure time for young people in Boden? We are now looking for a Youth Developer with supervisory responsibility who wants to lead and develop youth activities in a municipality where faith in the future and collaboration are at the center.
WORK TASKS
In the role of Youth Developer with supervisory responsibility, you have overall responsibility for mainly Youth Centers, Youth Council, Youth Forum, projects and grants for young people.
The Culture, Leisure and Youth Department is also responsible for libraries, sports facilities, museums, bathhouses and the Fritidsbank. The department is divided into 4 areas; Staff, Leisure and Youth, Culture and the Nordpoolen bathhouse.
With coordination and a holistic approach, you as a Youth Developer work and develop an area consisting of 6 employees, of which 5 leisure leaders / youth coaches and 1 coordinator. You are responsible for personnel, finances and the working environment. You ensure that your unit complies with laws and regulations in the relevant area and provide documentation to and support the head of unit in matters relating to your area.
As a supervisor, you will actively contribute to the development of our activities. You report directly to the head of unit and work closely with other actors in, for example, education, social services and the police.
Evening and weekend work may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Have relevant post-secondary education in e.g. pedagogy or social work or other education combined with work experience relevant to the position that the employer considers equivalent.
- Experience of work management and of working with young people.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Have good computer skills and are comfortable working in various digital systems.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Previous experience in strategic work.
- Previous experience in public sector collaboration.

As a leader, you focus on setting the right priorities that lead to results and impact. We attach great importance to your personal competencies.
The position requires an extract from the police's criminal record in accordance with the Swedish Act (2013:852) on register checks of persons working with children.
