Job duties

As an Automation Engineer for autonomous vehicles, you get a huge opportunity to participate in the development and maintenance of our autonomous mining vehicles. A completely new chapter is being written right now in the history books where our vehicles will eventually become completely self-propelled, including drilling rigs and mining trucks.

Your duties include maintenance on systems and vehicles, and some system development. You work in a team with talented and enthusiastic employees, whose task is to provide good service to maintenance and operation personnel throughout the organization. Other contact areas within the company are all cross-functional.

Aitik's process maintains a very high degree of automation and is built with modern technology that contributes to stimulating and varied tasks. A certain part of the tasks takes place in close cooperation with our system suppliers, Swedish and foreign. You report to the Section Manager for Autonomous Vehicles.

Education experience

As the mining trucks reach a total weight of 600 tonnes, safety is one of your watchwords. It is important that you are organized and have a good ability to plan, follow up and close matters and enjoy solving problems. You have great commitment and the ability to run your work independently. You also have good collaboration skills and when the work demands, you can easily re-prioritize quickly.

We are looking for you who have university education or equivalent education/experience in automation or system technology. It is an advantage if you have experience working with electrical components, documented knowledge of process systems, agile skills and the habit of working in sprints.

The work requires good knowledge of English. B driving license is a requirement.
