Your role:

As a Business Controller with us, you will be an important part of the controlling function for the business area mines. The department's tasks consist of analyzing business area controlling and controlling the business area's central functions as well as participation in the sale of concentrates to both own and external smelters. We work closely with both the operational activities and the staffs. Here you get the chance to develop in a dynamic environment, where you both drive and participate in improvement work. You will help identify and visualize how working methods and processes can be streamlined. In the role, you will handle revenue follow-up, inventory valuation and deviation analysis. You will work closely with Gruvor's commercial team to monitor sales and inventory balances. Also, ongoing work such as reporting and profit analysis for monthly accounts, forecasting work for the current year as well as budgeting, long-term planning and strategy issues. The role also includes project follow-up where you will support both managers and steering groups in financial matters.

Your team:

You belong to the controlling department at the Mines business area and work closely with the team consisting of five Controllers and a System Coordinator. You also work closely with both the operational activities and the staffs. You will report to the Head of Controlling at Business Area Mines, based in Boliden.

Your tasks:

  • Active participation and driving the controlling work mainly with revenue follow-up, inventory valuation and deviation analysis. Be a close support and sounding board for managers and management teams in financial matters with a particular focus on sales
  • Manage ongoing controlling work such as reporting, profit analysis at monthly accounts, forecasting work, budgeting and long-term planning.
  • Analyze results and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Project administration and follow-up, participating in steering groups, supporting project leaders and managers.

It is qualifying with:

  • University or college education in economics or equivalent work experience.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language or willingness to learn, and good knowledge of English.
  • Driving license for passenger car
  • Experience from the mining industry or other production industry is a merit.
  • Experience from reporting and business systems we see as a merit.
  • Good knowledge of Excel is an advantage.
