As Chief Financial Officer in Garpenberg, you will have a central leadership role in one of Europe's most modern underground mines. You will be a strategic partner to the site manager and the management team, responsible for driving financial control, structure and financial decision support in a business with high complexity and expansion plans. The role suits you who want to actively contribute to Garpenberg's long-term development, thrive close to the business and want to combine analysis, leadership and collaboration in a high and stimulating pace.


Your role

As Chief Financial Officer, you are responsible for the financial reporting for the entire Garpenberg business unit and act as an important advisor to the site manager and management team. You will ensure the quality of reporting and analyze complex financial data linked to production, investments and major projects, while driving the development of clear financial processes. The role requires solid financial skills, clear leadership and the ability to drive the further development of the finance function through structured working methods, dialogue and educational support.


Your team

You lead a competent team consisting of two controllers and an additional controller who supports during the expansion phase. The organization also includes a section manager for the warehouse. You are an active part of the Garpenberg management team and work closely with the purchasing, storage, maintenance and project organization and report to the Site Manager of Garpenberg.


Your tasks

  • Ensure accurate and high quality financial reporting, including monthly report, budget and forecasts
  • Analyze and question project calculations and provide clear recommendations
  • Drive and develop financial processes and annual cycle
  • Support and lead controllers in daily work
  • Ensure financial control in investment and expansion projects.
  • When necessary, present financial results and decision-making documents in management meetings and the business area's management team
  • Be the local contact for purchasing and other central support functions.


Your contribution

You are a confident and committed leader who combines analytical acumen with good communication skills. You build trust through your clarity, your ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable way and your unpretentious way of working together. You thrive in an operational environment where issues arise quickly and where initiative, structure and stress resistance are important success factors.


We are looking for you who have:

  • High school or university degree in economics.
  • Experience in a CFO role or other senior financial management role.
  • Very good ability to analyze and present financial data.
  • Experience working closely with management and providing financial decision support.
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
  • Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
  • B-driving license.


Advantage:

  • Experience from industry, capital-intensive operations or project operations.
  • Experience from ERP environments and data-driven analysis.
